Femininethug said it beautifully, “People leave you with the piece of you that needs to die, and the more you are attached to them, the more you are attached to that part of you that needs to evolve. When you let that person go, you then create a void within yourself that you can fill with a new… version of yourself.”
It can be devastating when someone or something leaves us, like a family member or losing a job that we depend on. Yes, we will get upset, and yes, we will grieve the mask and the identity of who we thought we were. But that cathartic reaction can liberate us from the restraints of who we thought we were and allow us to be who we always wanted to be, who we always knew we were, who we were afraid to be. Those versions of yourself that lead you to that moment can only take you to where you are now, and honored as they are let go of so you can go to where you need to be.
It’s scary not knowing when something is going to happen or may not even happen. No matter what happens, keep moving forward.
